  • 1 oz Amontillado Sherry
  • 1 oz Fuji Apple Juice

If you’re mixing for the masses, multiply your recipe by the number of drinks you’re making.

  1. Pour Stranahan’s Blue Peak, amontillado sherry, Fuji apple juice, and cinnamon bark syrup into a shaker
  2. Shake vigorously
  3. Strain into a coupe glass

You may not know what people drink on Thanksgiving, but to keep everyone covered lay in a supply of your favorite cola, ginger ale, and plenty of ice to make cocktails. If a classic old fashioned is requested, you’ll also need Stranahan’s cocktail cherries to make it so.

The Best Thanksgiving Recipes Have Whiskey

How about doing something a little different with the old bird this year? Make a glaze using Stranahan’s Original blended with our Barrel-Aged Honey, and you can’t go wrong. The smokey, sweet richness of the glaze is next level – it’s our favorite easy Thanksgiving recipe!

You’ll need to make two whiskey concoctions:

Whiskey Butter

  1. Place ingredients in a food processor (or mix by hand) until well blended
  2. Gently separate the turkey skin from the meat on the breasts and thighs
  3. Using a tablespoon, spread half of the butter mixture under the skin
  4. Use your hands on top of the skin to distribute evenly

Whiskey Glaze

Melt the other half of the whiskey butter in a saucepan and add:

Brush half of the glaze over the turkey before putting it in the oven. Cook the bird at 450˚ for 30 minutes, then reduce to 350˚ and cook for about 12-15 minutes per pound, rotating the pan every 15 minutes and reglazing as you go.

Dessert Thanksgiving Cocktail

You’ve made it this far… it’s time for a wake-up call, Stranahan’s style! This would make a perfect Friendsgiving cocktail too, since it’s easy to make in batches.

IRISH PEAK

A riff on an Irish coffee, this one is sure to keep you cozy!

What you’ll need:

  • Coffee mugs or Irish coffee mugs
  • Sugar cube
  • Homemade whipped cream
  • Fresh hot coffee

Recipe (per cocktail):

Method:

Don’t forget to multiply your recipe by the number of drinks you’re making and follow these easy steps.

  1. Warm mugs by filling them with boiling water for 30 seconds, then dump
  2. Add whiskey and a sugar cube to a mug, muddle the sugar cube
  3. Fill to 1” below the rim with hot coffee
  4. Top with whipped cream

And when it’s pie time, there’s nothing better to finish off your pecan, pumpkin, or apple pie than a dram of your favorite Stranahan’s Single Malt, served neat.
