Stranahan’s annual Snowflake Whiskey release event is the place to be in Denver this winter that built a reputation as THE whiskey lover’s party of the year.
Snowflake is a limited edition Stranahan’s American single malt whiskey – and it’s a release event. This extravaganza runs the first Saturday of every December with long-term camping available the day before the celebration, for anyone who wants to nab an early spot. What follows are two days of fun you won’t soon forget, wrapping up when the year’s Snowflake bottle release is sold out.
During the event, our Denver distillery is magically transformed into Snowflake Village, with amazing events and live music, culminating in the Snowflake release and sale. Attendees will enjoy a lineup of local bands, great food trucks, games, and late-night shenanigans around the bonfire while enjoying the most awarded American single malt whiskeys.
Day two is when the new bottle release happens, at a time to be announced. Allocations are limited and purchases are first-come-first-served, you must be present to participate. Note that Snowflake is usually sold out by the end of the day, so if you’re a whiskey lover or collector, you need to be here, or you will miss out!
So, make a weekend of it! We’ve got ample camping space, but if you prefer not to stay overnight, we have a loading area for Lyft and Uber, and the RTD transit lot is nearby. The parking area is reserved for camping, so you won’t be able to park—and we encourage you not to drive.
If this all sounds like a dream, that’s about right! We are fond of saying that it’s like winter camp for whiskey lovers–and it’s an undeniably must-do experience you’ll want to return for every year.
