Server – Aspen Whiskey Lodge
The Stranahan’s Aspen Whiskey Lodge is the soon-to-be second brand home of the leading American single malt whiskey, Stranahan’s. Located in Aspen, Colorado – the Stranahan’s Whiskey Lodge will immerse guests in alpine-inspired bites and top line whiskey cocktails and drams.
The Server at Stranahan’s Aspen Whiskey Lodge will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest level of service and hospitality for our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to create a memorable and seamless dining and drinking experience through your professionalism, efficiency, product knowledge, and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and welcome them with a friendly demeanor.
- Present the restaurant’s menu and daily specials with enthusiasm and detailed knowledge of the Stranahan’s brand and story.
- Provide personalized recommendations and answer any questions regarding the menu.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
- Ensure that guests’ dietary restrictions and special requests are communicated to the kitchen.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely and efficient manner, following established service standards.
- Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction and promptly address any concerns.
- Suggest beverage pairings and deliver an exceptional service experience.
- Recommend and Serve craft cocktails in adherence to our high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth and coordinated service.
- Handle payment transactions, process bills, and thank guests for their patronage.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including resetting tables and preparing them for the next guests.
- Stay informed about menu changes, specials, and promotions to provide accurate information to guests.
Skills/Requirements
- Previous experience as a server in a high-end restaurant or cocktail bar is preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
- Proficiency in describing menu items, specials, whiskey tasting notes, and cocktails to guests.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage pairings, including whiskey, cocktails, fine dining, and dessert.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and a commitment to exceeding guest expectations.
- Ability to handle high-stress situations and maintain composure under pressure.
- Knowledge of POS systems and basic computer skills.
- Must be at least 21 years old if serving alcohol.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Server is an hourly tipped position with wages starting at $12 per hour. Full-time employees qualify for 401K match, medical and wellness benefits.
