Stranahan’s x Orvis: Fly Tying 101

Catching a fish on a fly you tied yourself is a thrill like no other. It’s why Stranahan’s has partnered with Orvis to offer a Fly Tying 101 class, where we teach you, step-by-step, how to tie the most popular fly patterns. And don’t worry if you’ve never tied before; we’ll cover the basics and have you tying flies in no time. Join us in-person at the distillery for whiskey and hands on learning. THINGS TO REMEMBER:
- No experience required.
- Guests will receive a tour and guided tying of two different fly patterns.
- Vice and materials will be provided, but guest are encouraged to bring their own if you have some.
- Ticket price includes one tasting, cocktail, and two flies.
- All guests must be 21+ with a valid ID.
- No children or infants are allowed on tours.
- Please arrive 5 minutes early to check in at the Tour Desk.
- Enter through the main double doors on the southwest side.
- Cancellation policy: full refund for cancellations made 48+ hours in advance; service fee is non-refundable.
- Enjoy $10 off a 750mL bottle of whiskey from our General Store on the day of your tour!
