PROCESS & PROFILE
Crafted with Stranahan’s founder, Jess Graber, Founder’s Release celebrates 20 years of Stranahan’s American single malt whiskey.
Initially aged for 8-11 years in charred, new American White Oak barrels, a portion of the whiskey was finished for another 1-2 years in a combination of ex-Bourbon and ex-Blonde ale casks resulting in a total age of 12 years.
DISTILLATION: Distilled from 100% malted barley and Rocky Mountain water, made in small batches.
MATURATION: Originally aged for 8-11 years in charred, new White American oak barrels.
FINISH: A portion of the whiskey was finished for another 1-2 years in a combination of ex-Bourbon and ex-Blonde ale casks.
CUT: Cut to a robust 120 proof with pristine Rocky Mountain water from Eldorado Springs.
NOSE: Milk chocolate, coffee cream liqueur, peppermint
FLAVORS: Amaretto, sarsaparilla, flat cherry cola, nutmeg
FINISH: Nutella, bubbly cream soda, clove spice
